Position available:
Public Relations & Communications Specialist

Working schedule: Full-time position – 40 hours/per week.
Starting date : June 2019
Location : Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville (South Shore of Montreal)

Job Description:

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Public Relations & Communications Specialist is actively working to develop and implement the communication strategy for Boiron and its brands. Do you have the ability and creativity needed to leverage traditional and social media, media partners and influencers to grow Boiron’s branding on the Canadian market? Join our team!

Main Responsibilities :

– Develop and implement public relation campaigns to increase Boiron’s notoriety and contribute to develop a positive image of the company and its brands

– Establish and maintain relationships with traditional media, identify opportunities for editorial content for Boiron and its brands

– Develop and maintain relationships with influencers. Implement influencer marketing campaigns

– Crisis management; be the contact person and act as an advisor for the management team. Answer media requests, prepare key messages and write the press releases

– Identify partnership and sponsorship opportunities with influencers and media

– Ensure media monitoring

– Contribute in the writing of blog posts for Boiron Canada’s blog

– Be a writer and editor for different internal and external communications

– Participate in sales meetings and present the strategy and action plan

– Represent Boiron in different events for consumers and/or healthcare professionals

– Other duties related to the position

Requirements:

The candidate is a dynamic person, able to handle different projects and looking for challenges.

– Bachelor degree in communications, journalism or a related field

– At least 5 years of experience in public relations, including experience in crisis management

– Strong analytical skills and aptitude for synthesizing information

– Self-starter, able to manage many projects simultaneously

Perfectly Bilingual, French and English (verbal and written)

– Excellent writing and communication skills (English and French)

– Very good team player

– Knowledge of the Canadian OTC pharmaceutical market – an asset

– Available to work occasionally on evenings and weekends for special events or shows

– Available to travel, for a few days to a week, on average 5 to 6 times per year
