National Sales Manager

We are searching a National Sales Manager to complete our commercial team.

This person will report to the CEO and will be responsible for the Canadian Sales.

This is a permanent position.
To be filled by March 1st, 2018
This person will be on the field 60% of the time or more.
Bilingual English and French is required.

Summary of position:

Develops strategic sales objectives, establishes sales territories and quotas, manages budgets and evaluates sales performance

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in industry meetings and trade shows for the purpose of promoting our understanding of, and position within, the industry and new business development (including weekend);
  • Oversees the interviewing, hiring and orientation of the sales team staff;
  • Proactively manage inventory, returns, merchandising, promotions, markdown, and client economics, Formulate, recommend and review strategy, policy, and objectives to maximize revenue and profit growth;
  • Work across multiple functional areas (Business development, Marketing, Logistics, Operations, Information Systems, Finance, Legal and Human Resources) to most effectively implement client programs within company budget goals;
  • Overall management of existing partners with the goal to retain and grow relationship by implementing enhanced promotion programs, improved product placement, financial proof of performance and resolution of issues. Demonstrate initiative and creativity in developing tailored solutions that meet the needs of the client;
  • Manages Regional Account Managers, as well as Key Account Managers.
